Word Play

I think a Word for the Day would be a fun addition to blogging.

I propose to introduce a Word each day for readers to define and put in a sentence. At the end of the week, we will declare the George Will Erudition winner for the best responses for that week. Perhaps the winner can do the next week of words, at his/her discretion. Otherwise, I will do so.

Today's Word is: iconoclastic

Sarah Palin's outfit was iconoclastic, leaving her audience with a distinct Jackie O impression.

    BAM!

The only problem Hope is that you didn't read the FULL directions. It says you have to define the word AND put it in a sentence!

Iconoclastic - rebel, nonconformist, dissenter (because it's being used as an adjective, hence the "ic" at the end.

When Tammy discusses her iconoclastic ideals, a heated religious and politial debate usually ensues.

DAMN IT. Not to mention I'm totally off base with my sentence. Maybe I can get half points for defining the OPPOSITE of the word.

Maybe Hope meant iconoPlastic, taking on the characteristics of an icon?!
